  • Set realistic weight loss goals (1-2 lbs per week)
  • Walk or exercise everyday! Physical exercise is a great way to release stress and lose weight, aim for 30-60 min/day
  • Aim to drink 8 glasses of water a day (approx 2 litres).It is great for your digestion and will help you feel full
  • Limit alcohol. Mix drinks with soda water or slim line tonic water. Alternate a glass of alcohol with a glass of water.
  • Avoid drinks with a high sugar or high calorie content (coke, lemonade, etc)
  • Don’t skip meals – especially breakfast
  • Enjoy a dessert as an occasional treat, but try to avoid desserts to avoid weight gain
  • Always try to eat enough at meal times to prevent snacking. If you are hungry between meals choose a healthy low calorie choice (yoghurt, fruit, etc)
  • Keep a food diary. This will help you keep track of what you’ve eaten
